Topic: Layouts of my kids
This is a layout I did of my precious kiddos on the day they were having their school pictures done. That's Kimmee on the left, Kaylee in the center and Tyler on the right.  I used my kit  called Amish Meadows for the layout and it's available at http://www.deco-pages.com/Jen_Hanson_-_Amish_Meadows_P443C118.cfm

I did it! I finally started my own blog
Mood:  cheeky

I finally did it! I've started my own blog! It seems like nowadays everyone who's anyone has one, so I figured it was about time!

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jen, I've been married to my Michael for 10 yrs. and we have 4 children. Christopher is 25 yrs of age and then God has graced us with 3 amazing children who were all born in Korea and joined our family through adoption. Kimmee came home at 4 mos, and is about to turn 6 yrs old, Kaylee came home at 26 mos and is also about to turn 6, and Tyler came home at 16 mos and is now 3 1/2  yrs old.  We also have a Bichon Frise dog  named Brandy, a Maine Coon Cat named Smokey and an orange tabby cat named Sassafrass (Sassy for short).  We live in a 100+ yr old Victorian out in the suburbs of Massachusetts.

I tried traditional scrapbooking a few yrs ago but hated it!  After an initial trip to Michael's crafts store I found myself with over $150 worth of paper scrapping supplies, stickers, tape, scissors, etc. and suddenly realized that I absolutely HATE cutting with scissors, punching holes, taping, etc!  It all went in the closet and there it stayed until I ended up giving it all to my kids for crafts.   I'd been using Adobe Photoshop Home Edition for editing pictures on my computer for a few years and had gotten quite good at manipulating photos, etc., and then heard about digiscrapping. I couldn't wait to try it!  From the moment my first layout was completed I was hooked!!!!  Since then I've created hundreds of layouts for my kids Lifebooks (although they're not all printed yet) and the next thing you know I started having people ask me if I would like to design kits.  I found Deco-pages.com and really felt at home there. Like I truly belonged!  When Deb Ammerman asked me to become a designer for them, I was ecstatic!!!  Since then I've created over 30 digital scrapbooking kits and have sold quite a few more than I expected so far being a new designer!

I hope you'll bookmark my site and check back regularly as I'll be posting lots of freebie elements, papers & quickpages for you!  I may also start selling some more kits right here on my blog too at some point, if I can ever figure out how to set that up!

If you have a particular theme or color scheme in mind that you'd like to find a kit of, please feel free to e-ml me anytime and I'll see what I can come up with!
